On Saturday, I attended Furlife’s When Furballs Strike 50th bowling meet at Kenmore Lanes in Kenmore, Washington. It certainly was a packed house and I had a ton of fun!
Bowlers filled 48 out of the 50 lanes for Saturday’s meet (WFS 49 filled 49 lanes). I’m not sure why lanes 1 and 2 were turned off and not used. Each lane had about 6 bowlers. Bowlers have 2-and-half hours to compete 2 games. I completed 1 game.
After bowling, we met up in the banquet room for the awards, charity auction, and raffles. I send my congratulations to both Hubcap and Smiles for being awarded the Lifetime Achievement award for their dedication to their volunteerism for the event.
If there’s one downside to Saturday’s 50th bowling meet, it was the very warm temperature inside the bowling center. For me, I managed to play one game before I became too warm and called it quits. Even the packed banquet room for the awards and raffle became too warm and uncomfortable.
The group dinner was pizza, which I didn’t have. The usual nom spot Super China Buffet closed in July.
The attendance numbers have not been announced yet at the time of this post.
