Well, it sounds like When Furballs Strike (WFS) just keeps on getting bigger and bigger.
Last night, WFS 51 organizer Kijani Lion posted on Bluesky the preliminary numbers from Saturday’s event. It seems that more records were broken.
Here’s what Kijani reported: attendance was 385, breaking the old record of 382 set at WFS 50 in August. The number of fursuiters: 202 fursuiters, beating the record of 198 set at WFS 50. On top of that, all 50 lanes were reserved (see WFS 50’s numbers here).
He did not report the number of bowlers and any totals from charity auctions in the post. WFS 50 had 274 bowlers and raised $2,560 for Homeward Pet Adoption Center.
I might get the actual numbers when it posts on their website at bowlwfs.net sometime later. If these numbers were posted on FurlifeNW’s Twitter (X), well my Twitter went bye-bye on Nov. 9th.
I was at WFS 51 from start to about 2:30 p.m. (Pacific). I had to take off for another event that afternoon.
When Furballs Strike is a quarterly furry meetup at the Kenmore Lanes in Kenmore, Washington, northeast of Seattle.
